We spent 5 nights at the Cocomat Hotel Athens, a modern hotel in a neighborhood we enjoyed very much. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go from the hotel. The Acropolis was about 40 minutes, and several museums were in the immediate neighborhood. We ate dinner most nights within a few blocks of the hotel, in restaurants of varying degrees of formality - all good! My only complaint was that our room was a bit small for the amount of luggage we had, and that there were no drawers and only a small hanging area in which to unpack. The room was, however, clean, quiet and nicely appointed. I would go back, but would upgrade to a larger room.

We stayed two nights (not consecutive) in this hotel. It was perfect: attentive staff, polite service, very clean, delicious breakfast and thoroughly comfortable rooms and bed. The location is great boasting nice restaurants and shops in the heart of the historic district. Many thanks!

Possibly the best hotel I have stayed in. The whole thing is such an experience and the welcoming customer service is impeccable. You enter via the mattress shop and the staff rush out to greet you. They made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. Our room wasn’t ready, which we were expecting as it was only 10:30am but they offered to have it made up as a priority and took our bags to take care of. When we arrived back several hours later they remembered us, gave us our key and delivered the luggage promptly. They also gave us some goodie bags containing water, orange juice and a coke- much appreciated after a busy and warm day in Athens. The room was brilliant- clean, modern, with all the small details considered and the comfiest beds ever including a pillow menu. I couldn’t fault it- great toiletries and a nice little balcony overlooking Athens. We asked for a restaurant recommendation and they brought us to a computer screen and made several recommendations including outlining the sort of food on the menu, the cost and the location including decorations. Breakfast was traditional Greek with a choice of eggs and freshly squeezed orange juice. The hotel stored our bags safely for the day and told us that regardless of the fact we were now checked out, we remained their guests and could continue to use the facilities all day and into the evening if our flight was late. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at a Coco Mat hotel again- such a special place and the team are brilliant, every one of them.

Very nice hotel, helpful and accommodating, nice appointments in room, good communication and high level of service - and well located. It is a bit odd when you arrive as it is actually a linen/bedding shop, with the registration below and the hotel above. But they are used to people looking slightly confused. They greet you and assist immediately - as this is right in the center of town, so parking outside has to be temporary. There are two elevators so it’s not an issue getting up and down to rooms. Rooftop spot is nice. The breakfast was not something we got to take advantage of but looked delicious. The front desk staff, and in fact everyone working there, were warm and friendly as well as helpful. They made excellent recommendations for us. And we had quite a few questions. They were great about arranging transportation to the hotel, and again upon departure. The only downside was we could not get it warmed up in the room and finally got an extra blanket, and there was a fire alarm that went off at midnight. That was very disconcerting as we were on the 5th floor - we later found out someone was smoking and set it off (this is clearly a very organic style hotel and there is NO smoking) but it would have been helpful if staff had been on the floors to communicate it was a false alarm, and to relieve any fears, as the alarm was on for quite a bit of time. I would recommend a stay here - but for the cost - didn’t give it 5 stars for the small hiccups. We would stay again though.

My family and I stayed in the Urban Suite. Extremely spacious room and bathroom. Location of the hotel is great with lots of restaurants walking distance. The staff were extremely friendly and went the extra mile accommodating all our requests. The beds are wow, extremely comfortable. Nice rooftop where we were able to eat our complimentary Breakfast at. The hotel had a nice eco friendly vibe. Only comment I had would be the view from our room wasn’t the greatest. All and all it was a truly amazing and memorable stay and I would definitely stay there again.
